Our ranch is family owned and operated, with three generations taking part in the daily task of keeping the ranch functioning. Our family has held onto old western traditions and lifestyles. We believe in hard work, healthy living, and putting family first. ​

Dave Westbrook came to the White Mountains with his 7 children in the early 1980's building a small herd that he fed on mountain grass in the summers and then moved to the desert grasses around Queen Creek and Queen Valley for the winters. He did all this while teaching full time at various schools in the Valley. 



Determine to own and manage his own ranch that his family can enjoy for generation to come, Dave turned his small herd a few calves into a herd of 500 head. However, he still manages to know most of his cattle by name. Just ask him about one and he will have story to tell. As the herd and family grew Dave along with his family expanded their cattle operation by buying the Cox Canyon Ranch near the remote town of Reserve New Mexico. The family operation also partners with neighboring ranches.
